Advanced Practice Provider (APP)/(PA/NP/APRN) – Medicine/Medical Oncology / Instructor of Clinical Practice

Job Summary: Provide advanced oncology patient care at UCHealth Lone Tree Medical Center, including clinical examinations, diagnostic ordering, medication prescribing, and coordination of care across the continuum. Serve as instructor of clinical practice, guiding clinical educators and trainees.

• Manage patient health care at Lone Tree, coordinating with Anschutz campus and other sites as needed.
• Perform comprehensive health assessments, preventive screenings, and identify medical risks.
• Conduct study‑related visits, screenings, and toxicity assessments for phase I-III clinical trials.
• Formulate differential diagnoses and develop therapeutic regimens, including medication and device prescriptions.
• Order and interpret diagnostic studies within scope of practice.
• Carry out advanced technical procedures in oncology programs and other agreed programs.
• Plan and implement follow‑up, adjust care plans, and reference physicians or other providers.
• Document patient encounters in medical record, ensuring accuracy, legibility, confidentiality, and timely chart closure.
• Educate patients and families; promote engagement and shared decision making.
• Assist in cost‑effective use of medical services, participate in critical pathway and case management.
• Collaborate with team colleagues to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain compliance with incident reporting and regulatory requirements.
• Provide coverage during intermittent holidays, evenings, weekends, and urgent care as required.

Onsite – UCHealth Lone Tree Medical Center (9548 Park Meadows Drive, Lone Tree, CO 80124).

• Master’s Degree in Nursing or graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant School.
• Current Colorado license to practice as Advanced Practice Nurse or Physician Assistant with prescriptive privileges.
• Certifications as Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant by a national professional organization.
• Meet and maintain the requirements of the nursing credential review board for advanced practice nurse.

• Three years of oncology experience as clinical nurse practitioner or physician assistant.
• Experience with oncology patients and/or cancer clinical trials.
