Job SummaryThe Division of Academic Specialists in Obstetrics and Gynecology at the University of Colorado, School of Medicine, has 1 Senior Instructor Faculty Position available for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP). The position is a 0.8 FTE. We invite candidates with at least one (1) year of Ob‑Gyn APP experience to become a part of our multidisciplinary team at the University of Colorado Anschutz Outpatient Clinic.
Job ResponsibilitiesSuccessful candidates must demonstrate competency in obtaining patient histories, performing physical examinations, and developing appropriate plans of care in the Ob‑Gyn clinical setting. Candidates must demonstrate effective communication, both orally and in writing, with primary care providers, specialists, and team members to meet the comprehensive needs of patients.
- Provide comprehensive prenatal and postpartum care to low and high‑risk patients as part of a collaborative team.
- Provide general gynecological care to women in the outpatient setting including well‑woman care, contraceptive/family planning, and problem‑focused gynecologic care. Opportunities to participate in subspecialty care including oncofertility, minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, pelvic pain, sexual dysfunction, menopause, endometriosis, and vulvar disease may be available.
- Perform gynecology office procedures including IUD insertion/removal, Nexplanon insertion/removal, and endometrial and vulvar biopsies.
- Inpatient duties as a member of the inpatient gynecology team and ED consultations team may develop.
- Facilitate patient access to our outpatient network of care.
- Participate in departmental meetings and committees.
Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in the greater Aurora area, Colorado.
QualificationsSenior Instructor (Minimum Qualifications)
- MSN required from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current Advanced Practice Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Colorado.
- Current Registered Nurse licensure in the state of Colorado.
- Current NCC Certification.
- Prescriptive authority required.
- Must have Colorado licensures registered with DORA - Department of Regulatory Agencies by date of hire.
- Two (2) or more years clinical experience in practice as an NP in Obstetrical/Gynecological care.
- Demonstrate significant and measurable contributions in several of the following areas: clinical/programmatic development, advanced education, service, teaching, research, or scholarship.

Salary and BenefitsThe starting salary range for this position is $85,446 - $110,258 for a 0.8 FTE.
