Location: UCHealth Anschutz Outpt Pavilion - Aurora, CO

Department: Urology

FTE: Full Time, 1.0, 80.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)

Shift: Days

Pay: $38.91 - $60.31 per hour. Pay is dependent on applicant’s relevant experience.

Summary

Provides nursing leadership in a physician practice/medical office.

Responsibilities
  • Supervises and mentors nursing and support staff during assigned shift. Determines staffing level and assignments based on staff availability, staff abilities, census, and patient acuity.
  • Provides direct patient care as needed, floats between staff to assist with problem‑solving, and may take patient assignments to meet staffing needs. Evaluates the effectiveness of patient care and identifies issues that affect desired outcomes.
  • Responds to complaints about patient care and related services and manages them through established channels.
  • Performs role‑specific duties as assigned, including entering orders, performing admissions or discharges, and coordinating transfers.
  • Ensures staff has necessary equipment and supplies to provide safe, quality patient care.
  • Uses critical thinking skills, decisive judgement, and works with minimal supervision in a fast‑paced environment, taking appropriate action as needed.
Requirements
  • Minimum education:

    Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program. Must hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from an accredited or state board of nursing approved program within three years of assuming the Charge RN position.
  • Licensure/Certification:
    State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider. Relevant certification as determined at position level.
  • Minimum experience:

    1 year of nursing experience.
  • BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in hand before start date. BLS or CPR card must be at least 60 days in good standing through hire.
