Key Responsibilities:

The University of Colorado College of Nursing is seeking a full-time (1.0 FTE), benefitted Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) to provide integrated primary care at the Community Health Clinic (CHC) on the Anschutz Medical Campus. This clinic-based faculty position within the IRC-Clinical Series, Clinical Practice Track combines direct patient care with clinical precepting and leadership/service responsibilities.

Serves as a primary care provider for the clinic’s patient population. Performs comprehensive patient assessments, including physical examinations, evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, follow-up, and consultation. Performs outpatient primary care procedures within scope of practice. Maintains procedural competency and adheres to evidence‑based practice standards, documentation requirements, and informed consent processes. Completes clinical documentation accurately and in a timely manner within the Electronic Health Record (EHR).

Functions as a clinical preceptor for advanced practice nursing students. Actively participates in clinic marketing, outreach, and patient recruitment efforts.

• Graduate degree in nursing from an accredited institution

• Current Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)

• Current RN and APN licensures in good standing (any state); may be working toward Colorado clinical licenses during application and registered with DORA. Must obtain Colorado licensure by hire date.

• Current Prescriptive Authority (RxN) licensure (any state)

• Must have Colorado RxN license by hire date.

• Current DEA license

• Minimum of one year Advance Practice experience as an FNP

• Graduate degree in nursing from an accredited institution

• Current Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)

• Current RN and APN licensures in good standing (any state); may be working toward Colorado clinical licenses during application and registered with DORA. Must obtain Colorado licensure by hire date.

• Current Prescriptive Authority (RxN) licensure (any state)

• Must have Colorado RxN license by hire date.

• Current DEA license

• Minimum of one year Advance Practice experience as an FNP

• Graduate degree in nursing from an accredited institution

• Current Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)

• Current RN and APN licensures in good standing (any state); may be working toward Colorado clinical licenses during application and registered with DORA. Must obtain Colorado licensure by hire date.

• Current Prescriptive Authority (RxN) licensure (any state)

• Must have Colorado RxN license by hire date.

• Minimum of one year Advance Practice experience as an FNP

• Doctoral degree in nursing from an accredited institution

• Current Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)

• Current RN and APN licensures in good standing (any state); may be working toward Colorado clinical licenses during application and registered with DORA. Must obtain Colorado licensure by hire date.
