Registered Nurse – Psychiatric

Psychiatric Nursing Position

Provide specialized psychiatric nursing care in a mental health and wellness center, supporting patients with various mental health conditions. Ensure safe, compassionate, and effective treatment delivery during assigned shifts.

Responsibilities:

• Administer psychiatric nursing care to patients, including assessments and interventions.
• Document patient progress, treatments, and responses accurately in the EMR system.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement care plans.
• Manage patient admissions, discharges, and ongoing care activities.
• Maintain a safe environment, adhering to unit policies and safety protocols.
• Float to other inpatient behavioral health units as needed and provide support to team members.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current inpatient behavioral health experience.
• BLS and CPI certification or Calm Every Storm Certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year of recent behavioral health nursing experience.
• Strong ability to handle diverse patient acuity levels with flexibility.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and compassionate care skills.
