Registered Nurse - IMC​/PCU​/Stepdown

Travel Registered Nurse

Seeking a Travel Registered Nurse to provide specialized care in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) within a Magnet-designated hospital. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in acute and chronic patient management with a dynamic team.

Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive patient care to a diverse inpatient population, including large cardiac cases and med/tele and rehab units.
• Monitor and operate various medical equipment, including EMR systems such as Meditech.
• Administer medications, including chemo treatments, and perform procedures tailored to unit needs.
• Collaborate with a team of RNs and CNAs, floating across units as required, ensuring high standards of patient care.
• Adhere to hospital policies and safety protocols, maintaining flexibility and team spirit.
• Document patient progress accurately and efficiently within hospital electronic medical records.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license with at least 2 years of current acute care experience in PCU or Stepdown units.
• Demonstrate proficiency in BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications.
• Possess prior Meditech EMR experience.
• Be flexible and adaptable, with a strong team-oriented mindset.
• Show compassion and excellent communication skills with patients and team members.
• Have chemo certification or willingness to obtain it, with ability to serve on oncology units preferred.
