Registered Nurse - ICU

ICU Nurse

Provides specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through advanced clinical skills and compassionate support.

Responsibilities:

• Administer and monitor medications, treatments, and ventilator support to critically ill patients.
• Perform bedside procedures such as arterial and central line insertions, bronchoscopies, and chest tube placements.
• Assess patient conditions continuously, responding promptly to changes in acuity.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Maintain accurate documentation in the Meditech electronic medical record system.
• Educate patients and their families about treatment plans and post-discharge care.

Qualifications:

• Hold a valid RN license and have at least 2 years of recent ICU experience.
• Possess BLS, ACLS, and NIH certifications.
• Demonstrate proficiency with ICU equipment, including ventilators, monitors, and IV pumps.
• Experience with Meditech EMR is preferred.
• Skilled in managing post-operative open-heart surgery patients, including those on ECMO, Impella, or balloon pumps.
