Description:
Emergency Department has 50 beds. The department is staffed with 68 employees. On the day shift, there are 7-8 RNs and 2-3 EMTs/medics. The mid shift typically has 8-10 RNs. Night shifts generally consist of 7-8 RNs and 2-3 EMTs/medics. Patient ratios are estimated at 1:4 or 1:5, though these are never guaranteed. The unit is equipped with EKGs, cardiac monitors, and blood glucose devices.
Electronic Medical Records system used is Meditech. Experience with trauma and stroke care is preferred. Candidates with these skills will be prioritized. Typical procedures performed include completing all ED care needs. The ideal candidate is energetic, adaptable, and collaborative. Excellent patient care and communication skills with staff and providers are essential. This is a very competitive market, and additional information about staff experience and schedule options may attract talent.
