Registered Nurse – Orthopedic

Job Summary:

Seeking a Travel RN in Orthopedic Surgery to provide comprehensive patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment. The role offers the opportunity to work on varied cases, including joint replacements and spinal injuries, fostering professional growth.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care to orthopedic and spine surgery patients in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Administer medications, monitor patient status, and document clinical information accurately in Meditech EMR.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Coordinate patient discharges and ensure the smooth transition of care.
• Demonstrate flexibility by floating to different units while maintaining high standards of patient care.
• Adhere to unit policies, safety procedures, and infection control guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license and current state licensure.
• Minimum of 2 years recent acute care experience in Med/Surg or Orthopedics.
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred.
• Able to perform procedures such as joint replacements and fracture repairs.
• Strong team player with compassionate approach and flexibility.
• Must meet minimum skill set, including experience with orthopedic surgery patient care.
