American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Labor and Delivery position requiring at least 1 year of L&D experience, prior travel experience, and a CO or compact RN license.

• Work in a 19-room Women's and Infants Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting
• Rotating day (7:00-19:00) and night (19:00-7:00) shifts, 3x12 hours
• Various days of the week with weekend requirements per unit needs
• 1:2 patient ratios
• On-call responsibilities required per unit needs
• Float required within the Women and Infant Unit and possibly within the metro region per facility needs
• Epic charting system used
• Navy scrub color required

• Active RN license (CO state or compact) required
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Current certifications: AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate
• Preferred certifications: AWHONN Advanced and AWHONN Beginner
• Epic charting experience preferred
• Teaching hospital experience preferred
• Experience with high-risk deliveries, C-section circulating/scrubbing, and vaginal delivery assistance preferred
• Experience with fetal monitoring, including internal and external EFM, preferred
• Experience with antepartum care, NST/OCT testing, and obstetrical triage preferred

• Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum stages
• Assist with high-risk deliveries, C-sections, and vaginal deliveries as needed
• Support neonatal care in the delivery room, including APGAR scoring and thermoregulation
• Administer medications such as Pitocin, Magnesium Sulfate, and antihypertensives as required
• Provide postpartum care including couplet care, breastfeeding support, and wound assessment
• Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract
• RTO is not allowed during specified blackout periods, including September 2-12, October 25-November 4, November 22-December 2, and December 20-January 3
• No blocked scheduling requests permitted
• Facility-specific modules must be completed within the first week of assignment
• Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility are eligible for the local rate
• First-time travelers are not accepted for this position
• Previous UCHealth employees may be subject to eligibility restrictions based on internal review
