American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Mother-Baby/Couplet Care/Postpartum position requiring 1+ year of specialty experience and a CO or compact RN license.

• Work on a 32-bed Mother-Baby/Couplet Care/Postpartum unit
• Care for postpartum patients not requiring ICU-level care and newborns not requiring NICU-level care, including high-risk populations
• Patient population includes late preterm infants, substance-exposed newborns, and antepartum patients requiring fetal monitoring
• Typical ratios are 1:3 couplets or up to 6 patients
• Rotating day and night shifts (3x12 hours) on various days of the week
• Day shift hours are 7:00-19:30 and night shift hours are 19:00-7:30
• Weekend shifts required per unit needs
• Call required per unit needs
• Floating required to Antepartum and L&D for staff with fetal monitoring experience
• Uses Epic charting system
• Navy blue scrubs required

• Active RN license (State of Colorado or Compact) currently in hand
• Current certifications: BLS and NRP
• Minimum 1 year of specialty experience required
• Previous travel experience required
• Experience with IV therapy, starting and maintaining IVs, and administration of blood and blood products
• Experience with antepartum care, fetal monitoring, and non-stress tests
• Experience with postpartum care including cesarean section, vaginal delivery, and postpartum hemorrhage
• Experience with newborn care including phototherapy, cord care, and neonatal abstinence syndrome
• Experience with medication administration including magnesium sulfate, insulin drips, heparin, and Pitocin
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred

• Provide couplet care to postpartum mothers and their newborns, including breastfeeding support and discharge teaching
• Perform newborn assessments, car seat education, and circumcision site care
• Manage patients requiring magnesium, insulin, and heparin drips, as well as PCA and PCEA pumps
• Provide care for patients with pregnancy-induced hypertension, multiple births, and postpartum hemorrhage
• Support antepartum patients using external fetal heart monitoring
• Completion of facility-specific training modules required within the first week of assignment
• Maximum of 10 RTO days approved per 13-week contract, with blackout periods restricting time off during select weeks in September, October, November, and December 2026
• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
• Local candidates residing within 75 miles of the facility may be eligible for local bill rate
• Previous UCHealth employees are subject to eligibility review and may not be considered
• Returning travelers who completed a full year on assignment may not be rebooked for at least one year
