The University of Colorado College of Nursing is seeking a Certified Nurse-Midwife (CNM) or a Certified Midwife (CM) for a 1.0 FTE, benefits-eligible, position with its University Nurse Midwives (UNM) faculty practice in Aurora, CO (on the Anschutz Medical Campus) to provide antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, wellness and gynecological care to a select population. This position is clinically based as a health care provider and includes an instructor level clinical practice track appointment within the College of Nursing.
The University of Colorado, College of Nursing currently has four academic midwifery faculty practices and a midwifery education program. This full-time position will work night shifts 50% of the time.
Work is performed independently under the general direction and authority of the UNM Clinical Lead. Provide full scope care to the gynecologic, antepartum, intrapartum, and postpartum patient. Provide care in the outpatient clinic, OBED, and intrapartum unit. Utilize limited obstetric ultrasound skills in the outpatient and inpatient setting. Attend monthly practice meetings and participate in a minimum of one-practice and/or College of Nursing committees.
Educate health care team students (APPs, medical students, residents) and actively participate in student evaluations. Participate in practice development, promotion and community outreach. Active participation in health plan contracts. Remain credentialed by the health plans and ensure credentialing materials stay current. Performs other duties as assigned.
