Hello, RNs! Ampersand Therapy is hiring a 1:1 Registered Nurse (RN) to provide dedicated nursing support to a student in Aurora, CO. In this role, you’ll work closely with one student to support their medical and health needs throughout the school day, including riding school transportation with the student. You’ll collaborate with the student’s family, school staff, and educational team to ensure the student receives safe, consistent, and individualized medical care.

• Provide dedicated 1:1 nursing care and medical support to a student
• Monitor the student’s health status and respond to medical needs throughout the school day
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and care plans
• Follow the student’s individualized healthcare plan and established medical protocols
• Assist with activities and routines as needed based on the student’s medical needs
• Accompany and provide nursing support to the student while riding school transportation
• Respond appropriately to medical emergencies and changes in the student’s condition
• Maintain accurate documentation of nursing services and student health information
• Communicate with the student’s family, school staff, and healthcare providers as appropriate
• Collaborate with special education staff and the student’s educational team
• Maintain confidentiality and follow all applicable health and safety requirements

• Active Colorado RN license
• Colorado CDE School Nurse authorization or ability to obtain
• Ability to pass fingerprinting and background check
• Pediatric, school nursing, special education, or 1:1 nursing experience preferred
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to respond calmly to changing medical needs
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Comfortable providing individualized care and accompanying a student during school transportation
• Passion for supporting students and helping them safely access their education
