We are working with a rapidly growing peptide manufacturing CDMO is seeking a Principal Process Chemist to lead peptide process development, scale-up, and manufacturing activities supporting clinical and commercial peptide programs.
Responsibilities- Lead process development and optimization activities for peptide manufacturing programs
- Design and execute solid-phase peptide synthesis (SPPS) strategies for complex peptide therapeutics
- Support process scale-up, tech transfer, and GMP manufacturing operations
- Develop and optimize purification and analytical methods to improve yield, purity, and scalability
- Troubleshoot manufacturing and process-related issues across development and production campaigns
- Author technical reports, batch records, development protocols, and regulatory documentation
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Analytical Development, Manufacturing, Quality, and Regulatory teams
- Mentor junior scientists and provide technical leadership across peptide development programs
- PhD required in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related life science field
- Minimum 3+ years of industry experience within peptide therapeutics, peptide manufacturing, CDMOs, or pharmaceutical process development
- Strong expertise in SPPS, peptide purification, and process scale-up activities
- Experience working within GMP-regulated manufacturing environments
- Proven ability to lead technical projects and solve complex process chemistry challenges
- Excellent communication and cross-functional leadership skills
