Overview
The Quality Assurance Inspector supports manufacturing by testing and inspecting products at various stages, including vendor items. The role acts as a critical quality gatekeeper, compiling and evaluating statistical data to maintain the reliability, safety, and performance of Kärcher products.
Responsibilities- Measure and perform dimensional checks, following defined inspection, audit, and test protocols to protect product integrity.
- Collect complete and accurate data for report writing, record and enter data into systems, and update key performance metrics to create actionable trend charts.
- Perform and direct root cause analysis; process rework including testing, cleaning, repairing, and repacking returned equipment.
- Perform precise inventory transactions and movements as required in SAP; help maintain calibration of all measuring and testing equipment.
- Partner with multiple departments on quality issues; maintain compliant work areas and actively participate in safety, quality, and performance initiatives.
- Read, understand, and maintain compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs); help write/revise SOPs and implement ISO 9001 procedures.
- High School Diploma or GED required; engineering or technical education preferred.
- 1 to 2 years of hands‑on experience in a Quality Assurance or technical inspection role.
- Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude; ability to identify complex technical and quality issues.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, pneumatic tools, and precision measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
- Ability to understand and interpret prints, wiring diagrams, and detailed work instructions.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and basic SAP transactions; foundational knowledge of ISO 9001.
- Clear verbal and written communication in English; strong math skills including decimals, angles, fractions.
- Ability to operate pallet jack, dolly, or forklift as required.

Regularly required to stand, walk, climb warehouse ladders, lift or move up to 50 lbs. with assistance. The role operates in manufacturing, assembly, fabrication, and warehouse environments with seasonal temperature variations, forklift traffic, tool operation, and equipment noise. Proper protective equipment is required.
