Job Summary:

A postdoctoral fellowship position is available for research training in non‑malignant kidney, urology, and hematology diseases. Trainees will pursue a two‑year research program in the laboratory or research group of an established research mentor in basic science or clinical research.

• Trainee will be required to develop an independent research project with an established mentor with expertise in non‑malignant kidney, urology and hematology disease‑related research.

Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, Colorado.

Our nationally‑ and internationally‑recognised research‑intensive faculty focuses on a wide area of research in kidney, urological, and non‑malignant haematological diseases, including acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, end‑stage kidney disease, immune‑mediated kidney disease, renovascular disease, kidney stones, polycystic kidney disease, lower urinary tract disease, chronic systemic inflammation, immunology, red cell pathology, sickle‑cell disease, haemoglobin disorders, iron metabolism, bone marrow failure, Cooley’s anaemia (thalassaemia), haemochromatosis, clinical research in transplantation and outcomes/epidemiology research.

• Must be a United States citizen or permanent resident.
• Postdocs: completed MD or PhD by the start date of the fellowship. Next start date will be July 15, 2026 or August 1, 2026.
• Applicants must be legally authorised to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship. We are unable to provide work‑visa sponsorship or employment authorization for this position now or in the future.

The starting salary range (NIH stipend levels) for this position has been established as follows:
Year 0: $63,480;
Year 1: $63,900;
Year 2: $64,380;
Year 3: $66,948;
Year 4: $69,180;
Year 5: $71,748;
Year 6: $74,424;
Year 7: $77,076.
