Job Summary: A postdoctoral fellowship position is available for research training in non-malignant kidney, urology, and hematology diseases. Trainees will pursue a two-year research program in the laboratory or research group of an established research mentor in basic science or clinical research.

• Trainee will be required to develop an independent research project with an established mentor with expertise in non-malignant kidney, urology and hematology disease-related research.

Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite in Aurora, Colorado.

Our nationally and internationally recognized research intensive faculty focuses on a wide area of research in kidney, urological and non-malignant hematological diseases, including acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, end‑stage kidney disease, immune‑mediated kidney disease, renovascular disease, kidney stones, polycystic kidney disease, lower urinary tract disease, chronic systemic inflammation, immunology, red cell pathology, sickle‑cell disease, hemoglobin disorders, iron metabolism, bone marrow failure, Cooley’s anemia, hemochromatosis, clinical research in transplantation, and outcomes/epidemiology research.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Applicant must be a United States citizen or permanent resident.
• Post‑docs must have completed an MD or PhD by the start date of the fellowship (July 15, 2026 or August 1, 2026).
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.

• Postdoctoral candidates with a wide range of backgrounds will be considered.
• Selection is based on the applicant’s demonstrated research ability, career goals, and potential for an academic research career.

• A letter of interest describing relevant job experiences as they relate to listed job qualifications and interest in the position.

The starting salary range for this position has been established as follows (NIH stipend levels):

• 0 years of experience: $63,480
• 1 year: $63,900
• 2 years: $64,380
• 3 years: $66,948
• 4 years: $69,180
• 5 years: $71,748
• 6 years: $74,424
• 7 years: $77,076

Additional compensation includes generous leave, health plans and retirement contributions.
