This position will work on clinical and community-based research projects and will provide research support by engaging in project management, qualitative research activities and evaluation across the project lifespan, regulatory needs, and reporting. The position may also involve assisting with general project needs, such as staffing, budget management, data collection and management, and other duties as determined by study Principal Investigators.

The ideal candidate will have experience and training in project management; qualitative research data collection, methodology, coding, and analysis; multidisciplinary team science; and experience with developing and submitting institutional review board protocols for pragmatic trials, community- and clinic-based research, or health services research studies.

• Day-to-day activities related to the implementation of research protocols, including recruitment and consent of various research groups (e.g., patients, providers, families, community partners), collecting data through various methods (e.g., surveys, interviews, focus groups, observation), and coordinating and attending meetings with project investigators and staff
• Interview prospective subjects for a variety of research clinical trials. Educate potential subjects on the details of the studies through phone contacts and personal interviews
• Manage tasks for data collection (e.g., interviews and focus groups, surveys), such as recruitment, participant consenting and invoicing/payment under frequent guidance of PI and methodological co-investigator
• Develop and maintain Institutional Review Board applications, amendments, and continuing review documents for qualitative aims on study projects
• Assist with developing protocol-specific systems and documents including process flows or Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
• Running queries and reports in qualitative data management software (Atlas.ti) and supporting qualitative analysis (ex. query summary planning, compiling query summaries/matrix summaries, etc.), under significant guidance of the PI and methodological co-investigator

Hybrid - this role is eligible for a hybrid schedule of 1 day per week on campus and as needed for in-person meetings.

• Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences, Public Health, or related field
  • A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a year for year basis.
• One (1) year of experience in data collection, qualitative team-based coding and codebook development, and basic analysis of qualitative data
