Compensation Pay Range
$15.16 - $22.00
The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums that may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if criteria are met.
The Assistant Store Manager will support the Store Manager in areas of sales, customer service, store appearance and store operations. This position will manage the store during the Store Manager’s absence and/or when working opposing shifts. The Assistant Manager will be expected to lead the store team members in servicing customers. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
Essential Job Functions- Lead the store team members in providing excellent customer service to retail and professional customers.
- Supervise customer service levels on the retail showroom, including team member execution on customer service programs (Related sales, Hi5, Rock the Call, Never Say No, Rock the Lot, etc…).
- Work with the store manager to ensure the retail sales counter is adequately staffed, especially during peak retail business hours (lunch, late‑afternoons, evenings, weekends, etc.).
- Assist the store manager in setting team member goals, providing feedback on goal achievement, coaching/mentoring team members, and ensuring training is current.
- Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and collaborating with management to select qualified team members.
- Make sure the telephone is answered according to company policy.
- Ensure buy‑online/ship‑to‑store, hub‑to‑store, and DC add orders are processed promptly and customers are notified of shipment arrivals as needed.
- Utilize the electronic outside purchase order ledger to handle special orders and outside purchases efficiently and per procedure.
- Process retail customer returns and exchanges efficiently and friendly; issue refunds accurately with correct payment methods and stage returned merchandise properly.
- Ensure all merchandise, including core charges and warranties, is invoiced before the product leaves the store.
- Communicate Zipline messages and delegate Image Maker and merchandising tasks as assigned.
- Ensure all team members comply with company policies, adhere to posted schedules, obtain permission for changes/deviations, and clock in/out properly.
- Perform all store opening/closing duties: day‑end procedures, verifying securities, preparing deposits, securing building and delivery vehicles, and managing security alarms.
- Assist the store manager in maintaining the store building, parking lot, exterior signage/lighting, computer hardware, in‑store test equipment, and delivery vehicles.
- Complete all other duties as assigned.
Required: Sales Specialist Training, Assistant Manager Certification, and RSS Certification.
Desired: Certified Parts Professional Certification; ASE Certification. Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish highly desired).
