Traveling Retail Merchandiser

The Retail Odyssey Company seeks a Traveling Retail Merchandiser to execute in-store merchandising and category work for leading CPG brands across JOB-CITY , JOB-STATE . In this field-based role, you'll travel to assigned retail locations to set and maintain planograms, build promotional displays, audit shelves, and ensure products are priced, positioned, and stocked to company and retailer standards. You'll capture data and photos via mobile tools, share store-level insights, and partner with store staff and cross-functional Retail Odyssey teams.

Succeeding in this collaborative, fast-paced, results-driven culture requires strong attention to detail, comfort working independently on the road, and the ability to manage routes, priorities, and deadlines while delivering excellent in-store execution.

Responsibilities

• Travel to assigned JOB-CITY , JOB-STATE retail locations to execute merchandising plans
• Implement and adjust planograms to optimize shelf performance and shopper experience
• Build, set, and maintain displays, signage, and promotional sets for CPG brands
• Audit shelves for pricing, availability, and compliance; correct issues on site when possible
• Capture in-store data, photos, and reports using company-approved mobile tools
• Collaborate with store staff and Retail Odyssey team to prioritize key client initiatives
• Monitor inventory levels, rotate stock, and ensure accurate product placement
• Communicate field insights, trends, and opportunities to supervisors and account teams
• Follow retailer and client standards for safety, branding, and in-store execution
• Manage daily travel schedule, mileage, and time to meet performance and visit targets
