The RoleWe’re hiring a Business Development Manager – Contractor Sales to aggressively grow our contractor customer base.
This is not an order-taking role.
This is a hunter role

You will be responsible for opening new contractor accounts, building relationships from the ground up, and driving new revenue into the business.

Key Responsibilities- Proactively prospect and cold call contractors (deck builders, GC’s, remodelers)
- Open new contractor accounts and bring them into Mile High Deck Supply
- Schedule in-person meetings and warehouse tours
- Convert first orders and grow accounts over time
- Work closely with inside sales to transition active accounts
- Track activity and opportunities (calls, meetings, accounts opened)
- Represent the company professionally in the field and at industry events
- 8–12 new contractor accounts opened per month
- Consistent outbound activity every week
- Contractors placing first orders within 30 days
- Growing repeat business from new accounts
- Have experience in construction, building materials, or B2B distribution sales
- Are comfortable with cold calling and prospecting
- Have opened new accounts before (not just managed existing ones)
- Are competitive, self-motivated, and resilient
- Understand that commission is earned through activity and results
- Prefer inbound or walk-in sales only
- Have never cold-called
- Rely solely on accounts “following you”
- Need heavy micromanagement
- Weekly base salary (draw)
