Professional Sale Representative

Job Summary

LA-Z-Boy is seeking a Professional Sales Representative for our Aurora, CO gallery. The role focuses on driving sales through exceptional customer service, utilizing the La‑Z‑Boy selling process, and building long‑term client relationships.

• Drive sales and contribute to store sales goals by selling furniture, accessories, and services.
• Promote the Design program and assist the designer to achieve established sales goals.
• Consistently execute the La‑Z‑Boy selling process and provide a favorable experience to all customers.
• Develop and utilize sales skills, including approach, rapport building, needs discovery, customized portfolio presentations, answering objections, closing, follow‑up, after‑sale service, and ongoing contact.
• Maximize store promotions, marketing initiatives, and grassroots programs.
• Maintain strong knowledge of product features and benefits.
• Schedule professional home consultations to present customized room designs.
• Support design‑related functions in the store.
• Provide the highest level of customer service and resolve issues and complaints.
• Assist in handling customer phone calls and emails.
• Coach and develop new peers on product knowledge and selling process.
• Assist in maintaining visual appearance of the store.
• Accurately complete order information, collect deposits, maintain customer records and complete daily logs.
• Schedule deliveries and assist with opening and closing of the store.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Previous selling experience and ability to close a sale strongly preferred.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and organizational skills.
• Strong interpersonal, persuasion, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to manage time and conflicting priorities.
• Team-oriented and able to work business hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Attention to detail.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Bachelor’s degree in Business or related field (preferred).
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Training Pay: $16 per hour for 2–6 weeks (no commission). After training, base pay is $13.50 per hour with uncapped commissions on written sales ranging from 1% to 6% based on performance. Total earnings potential after training is $45,000–$65,000+ (inclusive of base and commission). The company will ensure compliance with minimum wage requirements.
