Position Summary
The primary function is to drive sales growth of the company’s products within a designated geographic area. The Territory Sales Manager leverages industry knowledge and customer relationships to expand the company’s footprint. The role proactively engages existing, new, and target customers to increase sales.
Essential Functions- Proactively engage with new, existing, and potential customers to establish effective sales relationships.
- Develop and drive strategic growth strategies for customer accounts.
- Utilize product knowledge and market awareness to successfully represent the company’s products and services.
- Build the assigned geographical area through strategic contacts and new opportunities.
- Work with the Distribution Center Manager and Inside Sales Rep(s) to execute key account strategies that grow existing customer business and secure new business.
- Provide timely quotes while selling the company’s value‑add and service.
- Handle price objections, negotiations, and bid preparation.
- Keep customers updated on product and price information.
- Develop and deliver sales and educational presentations in a professional manner.
- Record, analyze, report, and forecast account information to identify sales strategies and objectives.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned.

Experience and Education
- Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree. - Required:
Outside sales experience (building products experience preferred). - Understanding of value‑based selling versus price selling.
- Ability to work within a dynamic and evolving sales cycle.
- Self‑directed approach to learning new products, literature, and promotions.
- Territory travel: 50‑75% with limited overnight travel.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
- Ability to pass drug test and background verification.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
Employee must be able to sit, use hands for fine tasks, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear. Vision must include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
