Job Summary

Account Executive – Banking Sales Territory, United States.

This role is responsible for profitability, growth, and account penetration within the assigned territory and/or market segment, ensuring high levels of customer service and support to major accounts.

Responsibilities
  • Identify and target opportunities across existing and new prospects.
  • Partner with other business units to expand cross‑sell opportunities and lead account planning and opportunity planning sessions.
  • Maintain and grow file value, serving as the principal financial sales representative for major accounts.
  • Drive demand creation for Self‑Service, Branch Transformation, Consulting, and SaaS solutions, and prospects for existing and new accounts.
  • Build and nurture enduring customer relationships, ensuring requirements are identified and met.
  • Act as the key liaison between customers, sales support teams, product management, and other internal resources to resolve issues.
  • Schedule and conduct regular customer meetings to discuss issues, review performance/value, ongoing projects and roll‑outs, and position new solutions.
  • Continually fill the pipeline with qualified opportunities and execute winning sales campaigns.
  • Utilize industry knowledge and customer contacts to uncover future business opportunities and respond to competitive threats.
  • Provide consultative selling techniques and influence customers at executive levels.
  • Collaborate with technical and delivery professionals to achieve business objectives and meet quarterly growth targets.
  • Close profitable solution deals incorporating hardware, software, professional services, and customer services.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree required, financial and/or technical discipline strongly preferred.
  • 5–8 years of related experience; financial industry experience a plus.
  • Proven success in solution sales environments.
  • Ability to articulate the value of a complex solution sale in technical terms.
  • Demonstrated ability to understand sales barriers and overcome initial technology hurdles.
  • Customer‑oriented approach with strong teamwork and proactive leadership skills.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; active listening abilities.
  • Demonstrated sales success in attaining quota objectives and managing account relationships.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Understanding of the financial industry and solutions or similar applications and technology.
  • Experience in selling software/applications.
  • Experience selling aerospace solutions, ATMs, kiosks, networking, enterprise data warehousing, call centers, internet banking, CRM, managed services, branch solutions, mobile banking.
