Position Overview and Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Afognak Diversified Services, Inc, a company of Afognak Native Corporation, offers opportunities for Armed Security Officers
. The role is a full-time position located in Denver, Colorado in support of a commercial aviation manufacturer. Alutiiq Diversified Services provides armed Security Officers in support of an aviation assembly plant. The responsibilities include a variety of security related duties.

  • Respond to a variety of calls/incidents.
  • Safeguard and secure all scenes.
  • Perform crowd control when needed.
  • Perform personnel, vehicular, and building facility checks.
  • Provide First Aid and CPR as required.
  • Complete all required reports, forms, and other established procedures via electronic security applications.
  • Be familiar with various Security systems such as CCTV, access control, emergency notification systems, and mobile security applications.
  • Maintain assigned weapons, uniform, and grooming standards in accordance with company policies.
  • Safeguard all assets, provide motorist assistance and escort persons and equipment as needed.
  • Conduct other assignments in accordance with established SOPs.

Pay rate: $26.00 to $27.79 Hourly

Required Qualifications and Experience
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • Successfully pass a criminal history background investigation.
  • Speak English fluently; read and comprehend written English.
  • Demonstrate excellent skill using Microsoft applications.
  • Capable of learning new computer programs and applications.
  • Able to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
  • Complete approximately 80 hours of company provided training (classes scheduled 7 days a week).
  • Complete pre‑employment physical exam and drug screen.
  • Complete pre‑employment Physical Readiness Test.
  • Complete and pass all company provided training, including Expandable Baton, Defensive Tactics, and incident report writing.
  • Maintain a clean driving record.
  • Possess and maintain state required Armed Security Officer licensing.
  • Possess and maintain state required Concealed Carry Permit (where applicable).
  • Current operator's permit (driver's license).
  • Self‑motivated and able to work with little supervision.
Education
  • Three (3) years security experience within past five (5) years, or
  • An Associate's degree, or at least 60-semester hours college credit in any field of study, or
  • Three (3) years military or National Guard experience (active or reserve), or
  • Successful completion of Police Officer Standard Training (POST) course, or any reasonable combination of the above.
