Summary
Join our team as a Program Manager supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA) Security and Emergency Management Directorate. In this role, you’ll lead high-impact security operations that protect critical personnel, facilities, and missions across the MDA enterprise. This is a great opportunity to take ownership of a dynamic, multi-site program and play a key role in national security initiatives.
On‑site role based at Schriever Space Force Base (Colorado Springs, CO) with travel as needed.
Responsibilities- Lead and oversee security operations across multiple regional sites
- Ensure seamless coordination between control centers, visitor access, and response teams
- Supervise and support staff to maintain high performance and contract compliance
- Manage budgets, reporting, and operational planning to meet program goals
- Partner with MDA leadership, customers, and internal teams to deliver top‑tier service
- Conduct site assessments and support security planning for events and operations
- Ensure training, readiness, and adherence to current security procedures
- Respond to incidents and support emergency operations as needed
- Other duties as assigned
- Bachelor’s degree in security, law enforcement, management, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- 8+ years of leadership experience in security, military, or law enforcement environments
- 10+ years of experience in security or law enforcement operations, including supervisory roles
- Active Secret Clearance required, with eligibility to obtain and maintain a Top Secret clearance
- Proven experience managing programs or sites of similar size and complexity
- Strong background in operations, budgeting, and decision‑making at a leadership level
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally (passport required)
- PMP certification preferred
- Strong leadership, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead teams effectively
- Strategic thinker with a proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships across teams
