Securitas plays an essential role for our clients and in society. The Armed Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Armed Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers and serve as a physical deterrent.

• 21 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Above average computer/technology skills - ability to utilize a tablet, computer, or smartphone
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills
• Must be able to work independently
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift
• Must have a professional demeanor
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid/effective judgment and appropriate escalation
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation
• 2 years of armed experience
• Must pass pre-hire testing assignment and shooting qualification
• Must have a reliable personal vehicle
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States
• Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English
• Must be able to provide the office with a reliable phone number where the officer can be reached at all times (i.e., cellular)
• Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic
• Must have a strong grasp of appropriate and professional verbal/written communication
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus
• Must be able to conduct patrols throughout shift
• Must be comfortable conducting access control duties
• Must comply with any applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Security Officers
• Physical and mental requirements include seeing, hearing, speaking, and writing clearly; reaching with hands and arms; stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling; frequent sitting, standing, walking, climbing stairs, walking on uneven terrain; lifting up to 10 lbs and occasionally up to 25 lbs
