Job SummaryPerform work as zone proctor, subject to 24 hours a day, 7 days a week operation. Operates, monitors, services, repairs, and/or installs systems and components for all AMC buildings. Respond to emergency or trouble calls about heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and utility system failures and interruptions. Performs minor building repairs for building occupants related to HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
Records issues into a computer database and maintains the shift logbook. Perform preventative maintenance on public lighting, exit lights, battery‑operated lights, drinking fountains, eyewash/dump showers, flood carts, electrical closets, etc.
- Receives work orders and performs preventive maintenance on assigned equipment.
- Checks mechanical equipment on an ongoing basis to ensure equipment does not have unexpected failures. Operates and logs mechanical/electrical systems as required.
- Evaluates operations and implements recommendations to prevent failures and improve the efficiency of HVAC and energy management systems. Monitors building automation software (BAS) to determine irregular equipment performance.
- Inspects, installs, repairs, and calibrates mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic controls for HVAC and building equipment.
- In coordination with the lead, makes or arranges necessary repairs, including replacing or modifying components and/or parts (e.g., plumbing, steam, electrical, HVAC, and work‑specific aesthetic‑related items).
- Participates and assists in emergencies based on their magnitude and nature.
Work Location: Onsite – this role is expected to work onsite and is located at Anschutz Medical Campus Aurora, CO.
