Description
Leads a team in the performance of aircraft modifications, maintenance, inspections, and scheduled/unscheduled maintenance. Position contingent based on contract award.

- Leads a team in performing aircraft modifications, maintenance, inspections, and scheduled/unscheduled maintenance.
- Supervises subordinate mechanics and provides technical guidance on maintenance operations.
- Performs, supervises, and inspects duties of all team members on CFT.
- Repairs and modifies aircraft structures and electronic systems, including avionics, flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, and mechanical components.
- Diagnoses equipment malfunctions and applies technical expertise to restore equipment condition and operation.
- Interprets technical data such as blueprints, engineering drawings, routing drawings, and manufacturers' manuals.
- Troubleshoots and repairs electrical components, avionics systems, and conducts sheet metal/structural modification and repair.
- Operates specialized tools such as torque wrenches, multimeters, and aerospace ground equipment.
- Provides technical support to structural, avionics, and electrical engineers, and customers.
- Prioritizes workload to meet aircraft delivery schedules.
- Documents work and maintains records in work cards.
- Provides guidance and technical expertise to lower‑level technicians during all aircraft modifications and/or maintenance efforts.
- Ensures all maintenance operations meet safety and quality standards.
- Recruits, interviews, hires, and trains new staff.
- Oversees daily workflow of the department.
- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.

- Minimum ten (10) years total experience, including two (2) recent years (within 4 years of task order PoP start) in aircraft maintenance support within two (2) years on fighter/bomber/attack aircraft (preferably F‑16) as an aircraft mechanic in avionic, electrical or general maintenance specialties.
- Previous supervisory experience in fighter aircraft maintenance or modification fields.
- Must have the ability to obtain and maintain an active U.S. SECRET clearance and be subject to a government security investigation.
Normal color vision with a passing score of 75% or greater.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
TravelOccasional travel for meetings, trainings, and site visits.
