SummaryInspects, operates and maintains physical facilities, equipment, systems and utilities.
Responsibilities- Operate and maintain equipment, facilities and systems to ensure a safe environment of care. Accurately record and report work performed.
- Access roof areas, basements, equipment rooms, tunnels, crawl spaces and other minimally accessible areas daily. Maintain, troubleshoot and repair building equipment and facilities. Work with contractors; read and interpret blueprints and manufacturer's specifications.
- Perform general industrial maintenance including fabrication, installation and inspections of equipment and devices, some specific to the healthcare environment. Work may include service or repair on plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, motors, pumps, electrical systems, pneumatic tube, lighting, flooring, window coverings, walls and other systems.
- Perform periodic inspections of buildings and make recommendations on needed repairs, installation, etc. Adhere to trade practices and codes.
- Within scope require critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and ability to work with minimal supervision. Must work in a fast‑paced environment and take appropriate action.
- High School diploma or GED.
- Relevant licensure/certification as determined at position level.
- 3 years' experience in related field.
