Job Summary:

Key Responsibilities:

The responsibilities of this position include the design and installation of various plumbing and mechanical systems, performing preventative and corrective maintenance on plumbing, mechanical, fire protection, infrastructure, and HVACsystems, as well as pump repairs, water treatment for closed loops,utility locates, and backflow prevention. Collaborates with clients, project managers, contractors, and other trades to ensure proper installation and operation of facility systems.

On-site – This role is expected to work on-site and is at the Anschutz Campus in Aurora, Colorado.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Three years of progressively responsible plumbing experience ina construction or combination construction and maintenance andrepair environment.
    • Substitution:
      Successful completion of a formalized plumbing apprenticeship program, or higher level, non-correspondence coursework in the same fields from an accredited vocational schoolor university may substitute for the experience on a year-for-yearbasis.
  • Necessary special qualification:
    Must possess a Journeyman or Master plumber's license.

Colorado law requires that candidates for state government jobs be residents of Colorado at the time of application.

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time ofhire.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • State of Colorado Backflow Certification
  • Experience servicing and maintaining equipment and machinery.
  • Experience in planning and laying out complete project designs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish rapport with persons of diverse backgrounds
  • Excellent oral communication skills with the ability to handle stressful situations calmly and professionally.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in written form, which includes the ability to check for typographical, grammatical, and spelling errors
