What We Are Looking For
Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment and/or auxiliary equipment.
- Perform heavy mechanical maintenance and replacement of reciprocating and turbine engines and compressors, including prime movers and auxiliary units.
- This position reports to a Crew Leader to ensure consistency in maintenance practices and detailed computer documentation.

Essential duties and responsibilities:
These duties include assessing the condition of engine and compressor components as well as performing the required maintenance based on company standards and original manufacturer's specifications.
- Based on experience, mentor team mates and other company personnel on proper operation and maintenance of mechanical equipment.
- Identify, report, and assist in correcting safety and environmental concerns.
- Complete appropriate documentation and paperwork timely and accurately.
- Perform all work in compliance with company standards, procedures, and regulatory and tariff requirements.
- Demonstrate performance toward operational excellence.
- Mentor fellow employees when the opportunity presents itself.
- Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills, and listen carefully.
- Maintain a regular, dependable attendance, and high level of performance.
- Maintain a high regard for personal safety, the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public.
- Overtime may be required and is anticipated.
- Required to carry a company-provided cell phone and be available to respond during working and non-working hours.
- This position requires the individual to follow all safety policies so that tasks and assignments are completed in a safe and environmentally responsible manner, with an emphasis on finishing each day injury and incident free

High school diploma or equivalent is required.
Experience /specific KnowledgeExperience in mechanical maintenance of reciprocating/centrifical compressor units. Also, preferably, experience with turbine engines, natural gas compressors, auxiliary engines, and related equipment.
Certifications, Licenses, RegistrationsMust possess and maintain a valid driver license, and maintain a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers.
Competencies, Skills, And AbilitiesStrong mechanical skills and knowledge of compressor engines.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in heavy maintenance related to engine/compressor units. Also, preferably, experience with turbine engines, natural gas compressors, auxiliary engines, and related equipment.
- Ability to troubleshoot and maintain natural gas plant equipment, pumps, exchangers, compressors, and related auxiliary equipment.
- Ability to operate forklifts and light industrial equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret various company policies and procedures, Operations & Maintenance (O&M) manual and blueprints.
- Ability to respond in a timely manner to any emergency or after-hours calls.
- Good communication skills - must be able to interface effectively with many internal and external customers, regulatory officials, company contacts and co-workers.
