HVAC Technician

Location: Denver Metro Area

Schedule: Monday-Friday | day shift

Pay Rate: $34.00 - $38.00 per hour, occasional overtime

LHH Recruitment Solutions is seeking an experienced HVAC Technician for a direct hire opportunity with a growing facilities services organization supporting commercial properties throughout the Denver metro area. This field-based role provides a company vehicle, tools, and the opportunity to become a trusted Subject Matter Expert (SME) supporting HVAC systems, facility maintenance, and customer service excellence.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform preventative, predictive, and corrective maintenance on commercial HVAC equipment, including rooftop units, split systems, boilers, and related mechanical systems.
  • Diagnose and repair HVAC system issues involving compressors, motors, controls, electrical components, refrigerant circuits, and airflow systems.
  • Safely handle refrigerants in compliance with EPA regulations.
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and general building maintenance issues as needed.
  • Perform inspections, service calls, and preventative maintenance activities across multiple customer facilities.
  • Utilize mobile technology to manage work orders, service reports, inspections, and documentation.
  • Provide recommendations for equipment repairs, replacements, and facility improvements.
  • Deliver a high level of professionalism while interacting directly with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Participate in an on-call rotation and respond to facility service requests as needed.
  • Maintain a safe work environment while adhering to company policies and industry standards.
Required Qualifications
  • EPA Universal Refrigeration Certification (Required)
  • Valid Driver's License with acceptable driving record (Required)
  • 3+ years of commercial HVAC, commercial building maintenance experience.
  • Strong knowledge of:
    • Commercial HVAC systems
    • Refrigeration troubleshooting and repair
    • Boilers and heating systems
    • Electrical systems and controls
    • Plumbing repairs
    • General facility maintenance
  • Ability to diagnose and repair HVAC equipment independently.
  • Experience working directly with customers in occupied commercial environments.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Proficiency utilizing tablets, smartphones, and work order management systems.
Preferred Qualifications
  • HVAC Technical School Certificate, Trade Certification, or State HVAC License.
  • Experience supporting multi-site commercial properties.
  • Ability and desire to serve as a technical resource and HVAC Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the organization.
  • Experience estimating repair projects and identifying proactive maintenance opportunities.
