Role Overview

You will assist a team with installing, programming, and commissioning fire alarm and special hazards systems in compliance with national and local codes. The role is hands-on, field-based, and focused on supporting customers where conventional fire protection is not enough, including specialized environments that require clean agent, dry agent, or foam suppression solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install suppression systems for environments where conventional fire protection is inadequate, such as computer rooms, fuel storage areas, rare document collections, or manufacturing equipment.
  • Perform basic installation of raceways, wiring, and piping, and support components during inspection and testing activities.
  • Identify simple design elements from engineering plans and follow layout requirements accurately.
  • Install clean agent, dry agent, and foam suppression systems.
  • Integrate detection and suppression components to support complete system operation.
  • Ensure correct spacing, layout, and wiring or piping per design and applicable codes.
  • Maintain and track inventory to support job readiness and field execution.
  • Support programming, commissioning, and system verification activities with the team.

  • You will work safely, stay accountable for your work, and treat code compliance and quality as non-negotiable.
  • You will stay close to the jobsite details, follow the plan carefully, and remove obstacles quickly so the customer can keep moving.
  • You will use testing, feedback, and practical problem-solving to improve your work every day.
  • You will collaborate with teammates, customers, and supervisors, sharing information clearly and supporting the work as one team.
  • You will use your tools and technical skills to deliver clean, organized installations and dependable commissioning support.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Mechanical aptitude and basic computer skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work in confined spaces, including ladder use.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Skilled in using hand and power tools, digital multimeters, aerial lift trucks, and diagnostic equipment.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work across Colorado and Wyoming as needed.
  • NICET I FAS/SPH, or the ability to obtain it within the first 8 months of hire.
Nice to Have
  • Experience in fire alarm and/or special hazards suppression systems.
  • NICET I in Fire Alarm.
  • NICET I in Special Hazards.
  • Knowledge of NFPA standards and handling of dangerous goods.
  • ASCRII Sprinkler License.
  • DENFACSA License.
