School Social Worker

Insight Global is seeking a compassionate and student-focused School Social Worker for our client, a public charter school in Aurora, Colorado to support the academic, social, and emotional well-being of K-12 students. This individual will collaborate closely with students, families, teachers, administrators, and behavioral health professionals to help create a positive learning environment and ensure students receive the support they need to succeed.

Required

Skills & Experience:

  • Master's degree in Social Work (MSW) or closely related field.
  • Active PPS license through Colorado Department of Education
  • Experience working with children and adolescents in a school, counseling, social work, or behavioral health setting.
  • Strong crisis intervention, communication, and collaboration skills.
  • Passion for supporting student growth and success.

Nice to Have

Skills & Experience:

  • Previous experience in a K-12 school environment.
  • Experience working with diverse student populations.
  • Familiarity with MTSS, IEPs, 504 Plans, and other student support frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide counseling and support to students experiencing academic, social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.
  • Conduct crisis intervention and assist with conflict resolution when needed.
  • Develop and implement student support plans in partnership with families, teachers, and school staff.
  • Participate in Student Success Team meetings and identify students who may benefit from additional services.
  • Collaborate with behavioral health specialists and external resources to coordinate care and student support.
  • Facilitate individual, small-group, and classroom-based guidance sessions.
  • Educate and support parents regarding student needs, available resources, and school processes.
  • Assist with academic accommodations and interventions to promote student success.
  • Maintain open communication with students, families, and staff regarding student progress and support plans.
  • Support school activities and contribute to a positive, inclusive school culture.
