On-Site​/Hybrid Sr. Software Engineer

Overview

Summit Human Capital is seeking a highly motivated Senior Software Engineer to support a cutting-edge company in the cancer diagnostics space. This engineer will be instrumental in developing software solutions that integrate computational workflows with biological applications in a regulated environment.

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, Software Engineering, Bioinformatics, or related field
• Proficiency in Python, Java, AWS, and Docker
• 5+ years in scientific or research-based organizations
• Experience developing software in regulated environments with relevant quality standards
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills; proven ability to mentor teams

• Knowledge of bioinformatic tools and computational biology workflows
• Familiarity with ISO 13485, ISO 27001, IEC 62304 validation practices
• Experience with scientific applications, Java (Groovy), and C++

• Translate stakeholder needs into scalable, compliant software solutions
• Collaborate on architectural reviews and foster constructive technical discussions
• Design and optimize cloud-based data storage and analysis systems
• Ensure robustness, performance, and regulatory compliance in all software
• Apply best practices for testing, CI/CD, and change management
• Write, debug, and maintain code following established standards
• Support validation, documentation, and testing in line with quality systems
• Represent software in design control and design review processes
• Mentor junior engineers and promote a culture of collaboration and innovation

The base pay range for this position is $140,000/yr- $175,000/yr
, depending on experience, skills, and qualifications.
