Software Engineer – Intelligence Sector's Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA)

Leidos is hiring a Software Engineer in its Intelligence Sector's Cyber & Analytics Business Area (CABA). This role focuses on security engineering, network operations, mission software, analytics, signals intelligence, and cryptographic key management.

Participate in daily stand‑ups, sprint planning, and program increment (PI) planning; analyze complex system requirements and produce formal specifications, data flow diagrams, and other design artifacts; apply sound software engineering principles to ensure code is modifiable, efficient, reliable, understandable, fault‑tolerant, and reusable; manage software process control during coding, promote code reuse and cross‑program collaboration, and reduce maintenance costs by creating common functions and shared actions for developers and testers;

engineer, author, tune, and document automation scripts in a development environment and deploy them to the test/production bench.

• BS degree or equivalent experience with less than 2 years of relevant experience (additional experience may substitute for a degree).
• Experience with Java and multiple Java frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Data, JPA, EJB, JTA, Servlet, Jackson, Jersey, Swing, JavaFX).
• Experience with multiple languages such as JavaScript, Python, C/C++, Groovy, SQL.
• Experience with IDEs (Eclipse, Visual Studio Code, Visual Studio, Rhapsody, Web Storm).

• Experience with Web UI development, knowledge of databases and structures, Spring Framework, and/or experience with Angular

• Experience with cryptographic system technologies (symmetric and asymmetric cryptography, ASN.
  1 encoding, XML canonicalization, digital signatures).
• Experience developing on Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
• Documented professional experience with web services.
• Strong understanding of software development principles and practices.
• Ability to plan and prioritize tasks and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Independent thinker capable of high‑quality work both independently and with a team in a fast‑moving environment.

• Experience with Java Enterprise Edition (EJB, JPA, JTA, JAX‑B, JAX‑RS, JAX‑WS), SQL, application servers (Tomcat, Web Logic, JBoss), Spring framework, and scripting.
• Experience with XML/XSD/SOAP/WSDL/XSLT, REST, JSON, YAML, containers (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, Open Shift).
• Experience with JavaScript frameworks:

• Experience with testing and mocking frameworks (JUnit, Jupiter, Mockito, Jasmine, Karma, Cucumber, UFT, Selenium, FITNesse).

• Experience with high‑level requirements management, secure systems engineering, trade‑off analysis, interface control, and continuous integration.
• Experience in software development on agile teams using pair programming, TDD, refactoring, and ATDD.
• Experience with BDD and secure software development practices.
• Experience with Scrum, SAFe methodology, or related agile frameworks.

$57,850.00 – $ (general guideline only).
