Technical Lead, Software Development, Cloud Engineer - Software

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in Aurora, CO that is seeking a Technical Lead to design and deliver scalable technology solutions while guiding engineering teams through modern architecture transformation.

Summary:

This role blends hands-on leadership with solution architecture, supporting a transition from a stable .NET/SQL Server environment to a cloud-native, microservices-based ecosystem. The Technical Lead will lead end-to-end solution design, mentor engineers, and ensure high-quality delivery across distributed systems, APIs, and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate brings strong architectural expertise, a delivery mindset, and experience modernizing legacy applications.

Key Focus Areas:

* Solution architecture and system design (applications, APIs, data, cloud)

* Technical leadership and engineering oversight

* Migration to microservices and cloud-native architecture

* Dev Ops, CI/CD, and containerization (Docker/Kubernetes)

* Cross-functional collaboration and delivery execution

REQUIREMENTS:

* To be considered for this position, candidates must have experience in a similar role, or they must possess significant knowledge, experience, and abilities to successfully perform the responsibilities listed

* Relevant education and/or training will be considered a plus

Experience with :

* Solution & Distributed Systems Architecture (Microservices, scalable design, event-driven systems)
* .NET & Backend Development Expertise (C#, .NET Core, Web APIs, ASP.NET)

* Cloud & Dev Ops Engineering (Azure/AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines)

* API & Integration Design (RESTful services, messaging systems like Kafka/Rabbit

MQ)

* Database & Data Architecture (SQL Server, performance tuning, data modeling)

* Technical Leadership & Delivery Execution (Architecture ownership, mentoring, code quality, risk management)

The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.

We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
