Principal Systems Engineer – Integration and Test within the command and control (C2) domain, supporting one of our premier programs in the Space Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (SISR) business units.
What You Will Do- Collaborate with a cross‑functional team of engineers to develop and deliver advanced ground systems solutions
- Perform software and hardware integration and test activities as a member of an Agile Release Train (ART) team within the Command and Control (C2) domain
- Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues encountered during system integration and testing
- Develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts to support verification and validation activities
- Debug software and hardware issues to ensure system performance, reliability, and functionality
- Work collaboratively in an Agile environment to deliver high‑quality integration and test solutions
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and at least 8+ years of prior relevant experience
- Experience with software integration and testing in an Agile CI/CD environment, including regression testing, test scripting, and test automation tools
- Experience developing software within a relevant project domain (e.g., command and control ground systems or space‑based ISR platforms)
- Hands‑on experience with integration and test engineering
- Experience troubleshooting and debugging software‑based systems or products
- Proficiency with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL), Python, and/or Perl
- Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued TS/SCI security clearance required prior to start date
- U.S. citizenship required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
- Experience in a Satellite Ground System development or operations environment
- Experience with satellite command and control (C2) systems
- Experience in a Dev Ops and/or Dev Sec Ops environment using Agile development practices
- Experience with the Atlassian tool suite, including Jira, Confluence, and Bitbucket
- Experience with test automation frameworks and tools, such as Cucumber, Gherkin, and Zephyr
- Experience with Java, C++, Python, Linux, and cloud‑based environments
