Principal Software Engineer; Onsite

Location:

Aurora, CO. This is an onsite role.

• Design, develop, test, deliver, and maintain software for satellite ground systems.
• Work with a team of engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment.

• A breadth of advanced software technologies and techniques including multi-tiered architectures, AWS web services, and microservice software design.
• Modern Dev Sec Ops  and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery techniques.
• Software lifecycle practices for defense projects.
• Satellite ground system technologies.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 8 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience designing and developing object-oriented applications using Java.
• Experience working with COTS/FOSS and performing COTS/FOSS upgrades.
• An active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required prior to start date. An active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance that can be crossed over to a TS/SCI security clearance is also acceptable. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

• Experience with the satellite ground system domain.
• Experience troubleshooting software errors and implementing fixes.
• Software development lifecycle experience using the SAFe Agile methodology.
• Experience with microservices in an AWS environment using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Test Automation, Dev Sec Ops , and CI/CD processes.
• Experience with tools such as Confluence, Eclipse, Jira, Jenkins, Junit, Kafka, and Spring Boot.
