Principal Embedded Real‑Time Software Developer/Integrator working in an Integrated Product Team (IPT) to architect, design, implement, test, debug, and deploy software for firmware (FPGA) and hardware solutions for autonomous avionics systems.
What You Will Do- Architect, design, implement, test, and debug integrated embedded real‑time software within heterogeneous systems composed of firmware and hardware.
- Work with a cross‑discipline team to define, refine, and improve product concept, implementation, testability, and guaranteed measurable quality.
- Teach, coach, and mentor less experienced staff.
- Contribute to proposals and design reviews.
- Obtain program access.
- Work across a product line in collaboration with other teams.
- Associate or higher degree in STEM and a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience.
- Experience with Embedded C++ software, Embedded software security, or Software architecture design and implementation.
- Experience using embedded Real Time Operating Systems (RTOS) such as Green Hills, Integrity, Wind River VxWorks, Linux.
- Experience developing complex systems involving integration of hardware, firmware, and software.
- Active and transferable Secret U.S. government clearance prior to start.
- Familiarity with rate‑monotonic theory, layered architectural principles, electrical schematic reading, firmware source (VHDL/Verilog), and assembly language of a processor family.
- Experience with lab instruments such as power supplies, digital multimeters, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers.
- Experience developing device drivers for bare‑metal or OS applications.
- Leadership experience in engineering teams delivering systems integrating hardware and software.

- Salary range: $107,500 - $204,500 USD.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual incentive compensation programs depending on level. All benefits are subject to business unit and collective bargaining agreement. Position is U.S. based; a different pay structure applies if the candidate resides in a U.S. territory.
