Principal Software Engineer

This position requires onsite work in Aurora, CO and an active TS/SCI CI Poly security Clearance. Candidates who do not hold this clearance are not eligible for hire.

Solidus is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to join a highly skilled team focused on enhancing and modernizing existing software systems. In this role, the engineer will maintain complex systems, troubleshoot technical issues, and deliver secure, high‑quality solutions in a mission‑critical environment.

• Troubleshoot system anomalies related to software, system configuration, network interfaces and operating system issues
• Coordinate software installs/upgrades with adherence to Configuration Management (CM) procedures and policies
• Software architecture design, development and testing
• Develop and maintain system tools and documentation as required
• Other duties as assigned

• Active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance is required
• A minimum of 10 years of relevant work experience with Bachelor's Degree, 8 years of relevant experience with Master's
• Cultural fit within a collaborative team environment
• Must have a current DODI 8570.1 M IAT Level II (Security+) (minimum) certification
• Experience and knowledge with software engineering object‑oriented technologies
• Experience with Jenkins, Java within a Linux environment, Java Messaging Service (JMS)
• Experience with software deployments within Docker containers
• Experience with Netbeans
• Experience with Java Script
• Ability to perform all aspects of the software development lifecycle, including requirements definition
• Ability to provide a variety of technical solutions for a wide range of difficult problems

Full benefits: $184,000 to $230,000 annually

Reduced benefits (no medical, dental, vision):
Up to $250,000 annually
