Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full‑time, entry‑level, hourly Software Associate Degree Programmer to support the full life‑cycle development of spacecraft flight software. The role involves requirements analysis, object‑oriented design, coding, unit testing, integration, and support for formal testing and delivery to enable NASA and the U.S. Intelligence Community missions.
Responsibilities- Support full life‑cycle development of spacecraft flight software solutions including requirements analysis, object‑oriented analysis & design, coding, and unit testing.
- Execute integration and support to formal test / delivery, generating required documentation.
- Collaborate with experienced engineers to create solutions that enable deep‑space exploration and intelligence community support.
- Currently enrolled in an Associate Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, Cyber Security, or related discipline; desire to pursue a Bachelor’s degree.
- US Citizen; must be able to obtain a government security clearance (TS/SCI w/Poly).
- Familiar with real‑time development environments and languages (Python, Java, C, C++).
- Experience supporting final systems hardware and software integration and testing, and generating required documents for spacecraft delivery.
- Proficient in embedded software/hardware, networks, SQL/No
SQL, and information security concepts. - Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to work collaboratively in a team‑based environment.
- Experience working in an agile environment and handling multiple priorities.
- Familiarity with Python, MATLAB, Simulink, R, or equivalent data‑science toolsets.
This position requires a government security clearance. US citizenship is mandatory.
Compensation & BenefitsBase salary range: $48,500 – $85,675 annually (based on location).
