Raytheon’s Air & Space Defense Systems (ASDS) SBU is seeking a senior software engineer for an onsite role in Aurora, CO, Dulles, VA, or State College, PA to design, develop, test, deliver, and maintain software for cutting‑edge satellite ground systems.
What You Will Do- Design, develop, test, deliver, and maintain software for satellite ground systems.
- Collaborate with engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment.
- Advanced software technologies and techniques including multi‑tiered architectures, AWS web services, and microservice design.
- Modern Dev Sec Ops and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery practices.
- Software lifecycle practices for defense projects and satellite ground system technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 8+ years of relevant experience (unless prohibited by local laws/regulations).
- Experience designing and developing object‑oriented software using Java.
- Experience with Java multi‑threading.
- Experience developing planning & scheduling software or similar systems.
- Active and transferable U.S. government‑issued TS/SCI security clearance (or Top Secret clearance cross‑overable to TS/SCI).
- U.S. citizenship mandatory.
- Experience developing satellite planning and scheduling software.
- Software development lifecycle experience using the SAFe Agile methodology.
- Experience with microservices in an AWS environment using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience with Test Automation, Dev Sec Ops , and CI/CD processes.
- Proficiency with Confluence, Eclipse, Jira, Jenkins, JUnit, Kafka, and Spring Boot.
- Competitive salary range of $107,500 - $204,500 USD, based on experience.
