Principal Command & Telemetry Software Modernization Engineer; Onsite

Position

Senior Software Engineer – Satellite Ground Systems, Aurora, CO. This onsite role is part of Raytheon Space & ASDS.

• Design, develop, test, deliver, and maintain software for satellite ground systems.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment.

• Advanced software technologies including multi-tiered architectures, Amazon Web Services, and microservice design.
• Modern Dev Sec Ops  and continuous integration/delivery.
• Satellite ground system technologies covering command & telemetry, flight dynamics, planning & scheduling, and spacecraft operations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM). 8+ years of software engineering experience.
• Experience developing software using Java and C++.
• Experience with RedHat8 Linux OS or Windows
  2019 OS.
• Active, transferable U.S. government‑issued TS/SCI security clearance (or TS/SCI‑eligible Top Secret clearance) required before start.
• U.S. citizenship.

• Experience with containerization using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Experience developing software using Python, ActiveMQ, WineHQ.
• Experience with the Raytheon Eclipse Command & Telemetry Product Line.
