Castalia Systems is seeking a Software Engineer to support our onsite client with their mission.

A qualified candidate will perform the following duties and responsibilities, but are not limited to:

• Develop software for cutting edge satellite ground systems.
• Work with a team of engineers, architects, and leaders in an Agile environment.

• A Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and 5 years of prior relevant experience unless prohibited by local laws/regulations.
• Experience designing and developing object-oriented software using Java.
• Experience with Java multi-threading.
• An active and transferable U.S. government issued TS/SCI security clearance is required prior to start date. An active and transferable U.S. government issued Top Secret security clearance that can be crossed over to a TS/SCI security clearance is also acceptable. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

• Experience developing satellite planning and scheduling software.
• Software development lifecycle experience using the SAFe Agile methodology.
• Experience developing software using C++ and Python.
• Experience with microservices in an AWS environment using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience with Test Automation, Dev Sec Ops , and CI/CD processes.
• Experience with tools such as Confluence, Eclipse, Jira, Jenkins, Junit, Kafka, and Spring Boot.

Salary at Castalia Systems is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, position knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $ to $ (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Castalia Systems’ total compensation package for employees.
