Raytheon is seeking a Logistics Team Lead for our Aurora, CO facility. The logistics team lead will work with staff to provide daily oversight and guidance, maintaining responsibility for the implementation and compliance of safety protocol in day‑to‑day operations. The team lead will provide leadership over logistics functions—receiving, shipping, warehouse, and transportation—to meet and exceed customer requirements while maintaining compliance with facility and company policies, practices and procedures and FAR government regulations.

The role will oversee and support continuous improvement of logistics processes related to the safe and efficient receipt, storage, distribution, and shipment of product at the facility. The candidate must be able to build strategic relationships with internal customers to support overall site needs and use company business systems to drive improvement, monitor process effectiveness, and anticipate and resolve issues.

What

You Will Do
  • Oversee all logistics operations (receiving, shipping, warehouse and transportation) and lead and develop a team of associates.
  • Support all safety programs and OSHA compliance, enforce safety standards and JHA practices, and manage PPE requirements.
  • Lead day‑to‑day activities within each logistics function, including communication, problem resolution, service‑level commitments, and safety reviews.
  • Act as the primary information source for the team by communicating updates on critical logistics efforts and changes in workload priorities to leadership.
  • Monitor departmental KPIs to define team effectiveness, ensure service‑level commitments, and engage in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Train associates on tasking requirements and take corrective action when needed.
  • Work with the team to create and update training documents and present them to the team and leadership.
  • Maintain compliance with government property requirements and a Government Property Control System.
  • Monitor tasks and oversee projects involving external functional groups on site.
  • Balance departmental workflows and ensure cross‑training requirements for full support.
  • Apply practical knowledge of interpreting requirements, specifications, directives, regulations and other related documents pertinent to logistics.
  • Comply with Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). and vehicle requirements.
  • Collaborate with peers and influence the behavior and success of the assigned team.
  • Perform duties as an on‑site logistics lead, including weekend and holiday schedules when required.
  • Provide input for goal setting, performance reviews and recognition.
  • Develop new Job Hazard Analyses as tasks change or new high‑risk tasks are identified.
  • Collaborate with logistic functions from other sites to develop and deploy best practices and establish common processes.
  • Backfill for Logistics Manager when on PTO, travel, etc.
  • Adhere to safety and protection policies and procedures and identify safety risks to improve precautions.
  • Lift up to 28 pounds and carry for 40 feet several times daily.
  • Travel to other sites as required.
  • Work the first shift.
Qualifications You Must Have
  • University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of two (2) years of prior relevant experience, or an advanced degree in a related field.
  • Experience with logistics operations.
  • Leadership experience.
  • U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government‑issued security clearance.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience with OSHA and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS).
  • Prior experience in leadership for logistics operations.
  • Working knowledge of SAP—PRISM, RAYTRAK, & APEX.
  • Working knowledge of global trade standards and processes for imports and exports.
