Class A CDL Driver – South Dakota Route (Tue-Fri)

Howard Logistics, a sister company of Acme Distribution, is a leading supply chain, warehouse, transportation, fulfillment, and logistics management company based in Denver, Colorado. We are committed to safety, reliability, and exceptional customer service.

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Class A CDL Driver to support our Rapid City, SD Tuesday-Friday route (2pm start time).

Pay: $629.50 per trip (2 trips/week)
Key Responsibilities

Run Rapid City, SD Tue-Fri route (drop trailer and pick up empty)
Operate manual transmission day cab with 53-foot trailer (local routes)
Operate sleeper cab for South Dakota route
Maintain knowledge of DOT, warehouse, and shipping documentation, including:
- Freight bills
- Bills of Lading (BOLs)
- Over-Short-Damage (OSD) reports
- Manifests
- Driver logs
Adhere to all safety policies in warehouse, docks, driving, loading, and unloading operations
Provide exceptional customer service
Complete deliveries accurately and on time
Communicate effectively with team members and customers
Perform pre- and post-dispatch equipment inspections
Ensure safe operation of all equipment

Qualifications

Valid Class A CDL
Minimum 1 year of driving experience
Ability to drive manual transmission
Clean driving record
Must be 21 years of age or older
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Must be able to pass a background check and physical assessment. Our company participates in E-Verify.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment

This role is somewhat sedentary but requires:

Frequent lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 15 lbs (occasionally up to 50 lbs)
Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods
Ability to twist, bend, stoop, squat, crouch, and reach above shoulder level
Vision abilities including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception
