Job Description
The Driver II has a CDL and may drive a bus, shuttle van, straight truck, or boat hauling vehicle. They must hold a Class B or Class C CDL and drive vehicles under 26,000 lb such as a passenger bus or a straight truck with air brakes, or a non‑air‑brake passenger bus. Drivers are required to operate in an efficient, consistent, safe, and timely service.
Compensationand Benefits
Hourly rate: $16.00.

- Complete a daily vehicle inspection form prior to driving and after finishing each route.
- Maintain a pleasant and clean atmosphere inside and outside the vehicle.
- Apply all safety equipment available; always wear a seat belt when driving.
- Operate company vehicles weighing under 26,000 lb (GVW) transporting passengers or supplies.
- Drive defensively, safely, and cautiously in all situations.
- Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring a positive representation of the employer.
- Pick up and drop off guests at designated locations.
- Act as a concierge resource for guests by knowing the property and surrounding areas.
- Lift guest luggage weighing up to 80 lb into the vehicle as needed.
- Fuel, clean, and inspect vehicles when required.
- Identify maintenance and safety issues, take corrective action, and report malfunctions immediately.
- Ensure all vehicle logbooks are completed properly, including rider‑ship information log.
- Work with the Transportation Office dispatcher to fulfil special and group requests.
- May be assigned to warehouse driving duties, safely transporting equipment.
- May be required to inspect service trucks, pickups, trailers, and other vehicles, checking and changing oil, tires, lights, and general condition.
- Take vehicles to a car wash when necessary.
- Assist with clerical work, answer phones, and perform dispatcher and other office duties as needed.
- Dry Storage Drivers may sell and dispense propane, following federal dispensing laws for bottles with OPD under 10 lb.
- Occasionally operate a cash register, handling cash, traveller’s checks, and credit cards accurately.
- Understand machinery and chemicals used, including SDS sheets and instructions.
- Attend all scheduled department and safety meetings.
- Share innovative ideas to improve efficiency and operations.
- Follow all company policies and procedures regarding safety, security, emergencies, and energy, as well as road rules.
- Age 21 years or older.
- One year or more of professional driving experience and vehicle mechanical experience preferred, along with customer service experience.
- Effective written and spoken English communication skills.
- Valid Commercial Driver License (Class B or Class
C) with a clean driving record demonstrating five years of safe driving. - Pass a DOT physical examination and obtain a medical card.
- Pass a pre‑employment drug/alcohol test and participate in random testing.
- Complete and pass a Defensive Driving Course before operating a company vehicle.
- Possess a passenger endorsement or air‑brake endorsement as required for the assigned vehicles.
- Experience driving in all weather conditions, including winter and tire chain installation.
- Experience operating equipment such as a company vehicle, walkie‑talkie, hand truck, computer, photocopier, printer, and telephone.
- Travel requirements: little or no travel (less than 10%).
- Physical demands: lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking and standing; may require uniforms and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
