Overview
As a Chick-fil-A Supply Non-CDL driver, you will accurately and safely deliver products to Chick-fil-A restaurants in a timely manner while building strong relationships with internal and external customers. You are a safe, collaborative, and professional driver who follows all company policies, laws, and regulations regarding commercial drivers. In this role, based at the Distribution Center (DC) in Denver, CO
, you will report to the transportation supervisor and help support continued innovation at an operation like no other in the food service industry.

- Make safe, timely deliveries
- Operate the Commercial Vehicle in accordance with Department of Transportation (Use the "Apply for this Job" box below). well as all local, state and federal requirements
- Unload and put away product at Restaurants
- Upon return to the DC, assist in unloading the truck and putting away equipment (e.g., hand truck)
- Collaborate with team leaders before and after trips to assess unload time, delivery issues, continuous improvement initiatives and other aspects of the job
- Build relationships with Restaurant Operators to learn about best practices at each delivery location
- Keep vehicle clean and report maintenance issues as necessary
- Comply with all regulatory and company policy requirements:
- Operating within hours of service limits per the use of an electronic logging device (ELD)
- Follow all pre- and post-trip equipment inspection and DVIR reporting procedures
- Routine audit of vehicle registration, permits, insurance, IFTA, and other required docs
- Operate within legal state and federal vehicle weight limits
- Following all policies and procedures in the FSMA regarding safe food transport
- Wearing appropriate personal protective gear as required per policy
- Abide by all yard safety procedures to include but not limited to, speed limits, parking, pedestrian crossings and PPE requirements
- Attend scheduled safety and job training sessions
- Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions based on instructions at the delivery location (DC or Restaurants)
- Report defects, accidents, or violations in accordance with DOT regulations and Company Policy
- Complete routes within established Restaurant delivery windows
- Complete all pickup and returns (e.g., pallets, carts, etc.) from Restaurants, and properly submit paperwork at the end of each shift
- Frequently lift up to 65 pounds, and/or move pallets/carts with mechanical assistance up to 1500 pounds
- Perform work in all weather conditions, during both the day and night
- Maintain a current driver's license and medical card as required by DOT; random drug tests will also be required
- Manage time off to ensure proper rest and operate in compliance with DOT regulations
- Maintain a flexible schedule including weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed
- Prepare for shifts to rotate
- Attend shift in proper attire and with safety equipment as required by company guidelines
- Work in a multi-temperature environment including freezer temperatures
- Have and maintain an acceptable MVR in compliance with DOT requirements and CFA-S minimum driver qualifications
- Act as a Navigator/Helper to CDL-A Drivers when required
- Adapt to change and respond to difficult and challenging situations in a professional manner
- Manage pressure and conflicting demands; prioritize tasks and workload
